RESEARCH LAB · AN OPTIONAL DEEPER LAYER

A map is
a model.

Right Now brings research vocabulary, self-described feelings and expressive artwork together. They are distinct layers.

Study ratings

The sourced model follows Cowen and Keltner’s 2017 study of 2,185 videos. The dataset uses 34 rating labels and maps 27 varieties. In this app, an overlap pair counts source clips where both labels reached the configured one-third threshold. It does not measure an individual’s mixed feelings or compatibility.

Your own perspective

Your chosen labels, context, intensity, pleasantness and later thoughts are personal descriptions. They do not become study data or a diagnosis. A personal clip’s owner ratings are separate from research ratings.

Artistic interpretation

Quark gestures, brain-shaped layouts, weather, mood auras and flowing connections are expressive interfaces. Their colors and motion are not biological measurements. Shared-memory experiments are this project’s design work, not results established by the sourced study.

Footage and choice

Source-study footage may include graphic or sexual material. Research viewing asks you to review a content warning; automatic media pulls remain off until enabled. Ordinary capture and community do not require this footage.
